Putting the "skin" in SKINNY!

All of the sudden my ass and thighs are nothing but loose, floppy skin.  How did this happen?  I posted near-naked pictures of myself on this blog in December.  One of the pics was of my ass and I was surprised that it didn't look too horrible.  Since then I've lost 4 lbs.  (1.8 kg.) and all the sudden I've got this going on?
What the hell?  Where did my ass go?  Why do I now have a skin blanket?

I know we can't have "skinny" without "skin", but seriously people!

maybe your body finally caught up to your weightloss. I have read a couple of blogs like that.

I think things will change again, I've heard lots of people say that you get saggy then it gets better. Love the Homer Simpson pic, I can identify with that!

I can be firm and fat or thin and flabby. Doesn't feel like a fair choice does it.

Maybe it's just the lighting?? If not, I hope Tessie Rose is right!!

yup...i have hangy bits in places I didn't even know you could. I think some wieghts would tighen a bit..but that is just from replacing the fat with muscles. Now they are empty...

Good look with yours. Since you have younger skin perhaps it will bounce back?

Oh my gosh! I am cracking up at Homer! Hahahaha that is sooo funny. Umm yeah I have some loose skin too mainly on my boobs and a bit on my stomach. It sucks. Hopefully it will all bounce back.

Not sure if this helps any, but I look at it this way: When I am fat, I don't like looking at my body in OR out of clothes. When I get skinny, if I have some extra skin, well, at least I look good in clothes! Seriously, though, that Homer picture is hysterical!

The Homer pic is hilarious. It's like the medieval torture version of Spanx.

Homer is hysterical. Love that.

I've heard you need to give it a year or so to let your skin catch up. I do wonder sometimes whether wearing some kind of Spanx or binding garment might not give your skin some support to spring back a little faster, but I have no idea.

Oh goodness! I've heard the same as Kristin...takes about a year for everything to be where it's gonna be. I'm sure the skin will catch up

Hi Amanda...its like having a baby...post birth, it takes a while for the skin to recover and go back in place. Have you tried the therapeutic stretch mark oil like Palmer's Stretch Mark Oil? I've been trying it and it seems to help my skin.

That sucks. Hopefully your skin just needs time to readjust.

Doh! but I must admit I think I would prefer a bit of loose skin over all this extra weight. Just sayin'!!

Loving the HOmer pic :o)

I have heard the skin issue can be the hardest factor in this wonderful, but hard, journey to weight loss.

You think that if the doc's could come up with something as wonderful as the band, they could come up with a better option than tucks for the excess skin :p
