Ha! You know that line from the Breakfast Club where Bender tells Claire that "Claire is a fat girl's name"?? Not to make any of us feel like crap, but I can't help but think of that everytime a new Amanda pops up!
You wondered why there are so many Amandas who need WLS. You'll probably think this is a bit anal, but how about the etymology of your name? It means "she who must be loved" - so I was wondering whether there are people who name their children not for the sound of the name, but for its meaning. And if those parents are therefore more likely to be indulgent towards their kids.... they might use food as a symbol of love... too much... ? Maybe not. Just a thought!

Hey Amanda, just found this post as I was reading through older posts from peoples blogs... funny thing is I was just remarking to hubby on Wednesday that there are so many Amanda's out there who have been banded lol - I have the same fascination with the connection as you :-P
And thank you for sending so many wonderful people to my blog - I am so lucky to have so many awesome people around for support, this really is an amazing community :-)
