Not much to say...

Things have been rather blah here with me, I'm afraid. I know it is hard to believe that my life isn't all parties and clown cars.

Mostly I've been busy working, busy being a mom, busy with the minutiae that is my life. I wish I could get away for the weekend. It doesn't help that the weather here in Oregon has been, well, blah. Gray skies, rain, dreary, cold. I'm reading about all of you having pool parties and hiking and such with great jealousy! Although I'm not jealous of Andrew playing golf at 6:00 AM in the 35 degrees Celsius weather in Dubai (Is that even a real temp when you're not directly on the sun?).

This weekend is Memorial Day in the States which means we get three days off and the unofficial kick-off to summer. We like to joke in Oregon that summer doesn't begin until July 5th since we've all endured many a rainy Independece Day (July 4th) celebration. Friday is also my big sister's 40th birthday. She will be having a party at her house so that will be fun. If I can just make it through the rest of the week, that is.

On the band front, all is well. Tomorrow is weigh-day so I am hoping for some excitement there. I am so glad I got that little unfill last week. I am coming to realize that I do not like my band too tight. I LIKE to eat (shocking, I know). I am not really interested in starving or puking myself to goal. I'd rather have real food.

My jeans are too loose, but the next size down is too tight. Annoying.

Hey Amanda.. if it makes you feel better.. I will share that I am going to be cleaning three bathrooms this weekend.. how is that for FUN!!
Without a destination to go to .. why not create your own in house getaway.. can you get someone to watch the kids while you have a couple hours to yourself (bubble bath, downs time, etc)..
Or you can plan a menu that even the kids can help with..
Hope the new state of the fill is good to you and allows you to celebrate a little. be well

Sometimes the beauty of life is in the minutiae. But I don't blame you for being bummed about the bleh weather. It's time to move on with the seasons! Course, when it gets to July and we are socked in with 90 degree days and 180% humidity - I'd gladly trade for the "bleh"!

And I agree...golf in 35C degree weather? Nuts!

The weekend will be here before you know it - I hope you have a blast at your sister's b-day party! Sounds like fun to me!

And I'm totally with you - I don't want to be too tight. I love still having my options and just having the reminder that I just don't need to eat as much.

If it makes you happy, we are in a heat wave here in Ontario as well (38C/100F) which means we all become shutins with the air conditioning. I hate the heat but should be happy it isn't snow or rain. And I do hope your long weekend coming up is nice. A bit of sun can cheer even the dreariest of moods. Have fun at the Birthday and watch that cake. It goes right through the band. And so does wine! LOL.

Well, it's hot as the surface of the sun in Louisiana and very humid too. And, to top it off, my pants don't fit either. My 20's are hanging off of me and my 18's are too tight for public appearances! I'm glad you got that unfil, I was worried about you. My fill seams good now, I'm losening up a bit, no stuck episodes for 2 days!

We're finally seeing some sun here, but mother nature is a jokester. It's going to be in the 80s all week, then fall into the 70s on Saturday and Sunday. A little too cool for me to get in our pool. Geez.

I love "Amanda's Waning!" It is rainy and hot out here in VA- makes your hair frizz up something fierce. Hope you find some free time this weekend to relax!

I can relate to having weeks like this...when everything is just blah...you will get through it and have the party on the weekend to look forward too...
Also, yes Dubai/Abu Dhabi is hot at 35c, but wait for another month or so and it will be 50c! NOW THAT IS HOT!

I can totally relate to the jeans issue. What I've been wearing are way too big but the next size is still too tight. Here's hoping that changes for us both in the next few days and the smaller ones fit nicely.
