Happy Thursday!

This is a picture that was taken of me when I was 19 years old as part of an ad campaign I did for the Dairy Farmers of Oregon. Wasn't I cute? I think I weighed about 150 there. Notice I hardly had any boobs and I look really pale. I'm pretty sure I thought I was fat. Pathetic! My modeling career was pretty short-lived. I did that campaign and a national ad for Weight Watchers Magazine. I guess that was my 15 minutes of fame.

Today was my weekly weigh-in and I lost 3.6 lbs. (1.6 Kg.). This means that I hit my 10% and then some. My total weight loss is 30.6 lbs. (13.9 Kg.) since my pre-op weight on 2/5/10. I am 8 weeks post-op tomorrow.

I should probably just get one of those tickers for my page that everybody else has, but I know I would have to put in a goal weight and I don't have one. I'd like to lose 100 lbs. (45.4 Kg.). That would put me at about the size I was when I got pregnant with my second daughter. I felt good at that size. But if I shoot for 125 lbs. (56.7 Kg.) I might look like that pretty girl with all those neck/shoulder bones at the top of thise post. That would be nice too...

You're doing great & you're beautiful to boot!

You could do a ticker counting down to 100 and then revise it when you decide.

Anyhow, you are doing FABULOUS!

Even though I know it's a stretch, I put my goal at 125. You can always change your goal later...even in a ticker. Great loss!

How many people can say they had a modeling career at all, huh? I say right on and be proud and you will be a hottie again soon enough. And you are very pretty now as it is! :)

that is a lovely picture and I think we all thought we were fat as teenagers! If only we could rearrange our mindset for the past eh and enjoy how thin we really were. You can not set a goal or you can revise goals on those tickers and I bet you will see collar bones quicker than you think.

You are gorgeous in that picture! Congrats on 3.6 lbs down and hitting 10%. That's awesome.

As for the ticker - I am the same way, not choosing a goal weight. I did my ticker with the weight that is smack dab in the middle of my healthy BMI range. It gives me a sense of how far to normal - but I can not get there and still be normal, too.

Great going with the 10%. It felt better for me when I hit that than I did with the pounds. I wouldn't worry about the ticker. I like mine but I can change my goal at any time.

I love your picture-quite the hotty. I know I still thought I was fat when I was married and weighed 130. Everyone I knew was under 115 pounds so I thought I was huge. Our perceptions are skewed I think.

You will find the weight you are happy with. And then you can repose for a picture like when you were 19! I keep thinking I will do one of those boudoir photos when I reach goal (and I'm 56!). There will be lots of shadows :-)

Hey Amanda, thank you soooooooo much for putting in the kgs next to the lbs... I have my trusty calculator next to my puter to convert others weights and goals and not having to with your post was WONDERFUL!

I understand about not wanting to set a goal. I used to be a skinny girl before children too but one thing I have learned as the wise woman I am becoming is babies change our shapes as does growing older. 56kg may have you looking gaunt and ill looking now whereas when you were younger and pre bubs it may have been perfect. Maybe mini goals would work better. I do it - usually in 3-5kg lots. Like most ex dieters I can pinpoint what weight I was at a particular stage or event in my life. Slowly working back to those points is mini victories on the way to figuring out what is a realistic and sustainable weight for me now that my body has changed.

P.S. I LOVE YOU FOR PUTTING IN KG"S... thank you ;-)
