Olive Garden

Every year the company I work for has an employee recognition lunch and today was the day!  We always go to Olive Garden, which is one of my favorite places to eat.  Since I don't eat out much, I hadn't been there since before my surgery.  I was a little nervous about eating there.  You just never know how things are going to go down, especially when you're talking about restaurant food.

I ordered the soup and salad and had a few bites of each.  I also had TWO (yes TWO) bread sticks and about three tablespoons of Alfredo sauce to dip them in.  You can see where my food priorities are when it comes to Olive Garden.  All in all it was a completely satisfying meal that I enjoyed 100%.

I am often surprised by how much I enjoy the way I eat these days.  I like eating slowly and especially eating all I want to eat at each meal.  I feel satisfied when I eat.  It is weird that I seldom felt satisfied before, even when I was Thanksgiving-dinner STUFFED!  I always wanted to eat more, more, more, even when I chose not to eat more.

Life is so much better these days!

Hey, look at me!  Two posts in one day!

I love Olive Garden. I'm all about the breadsticks when I eat there too. :)

I think it's important to enjoy your food and feel satisfied. That will keep you from stuffing yourself and making yourself sick.

I'm glad life is good for you! :)

OG is what my hubby and I call it as well! And it is my FAVORITE resturaunt ever! And the only thing I ever get is soup and salad, and about three baskets of breadsticks!I know what you mean about not feeling satisfied with food, even when you are stuffed. You eat like your not going to get another chance for months! I can't wait to be where your at now! I don't know how I am going to make it until Wednesday, and that is only to get my appointment scheduled! I am fully prepared to threaten physical harm to the physician if he does not schedule me ASAP.....can you tell patience is not my virtue?

I love Olive Garden too. It is one of my favorites! I can still eat pasta so long as I eat slowly. Usually I order the Spaghetti and Meatballs. I eat mostly the Meatballs with a few bites of the Spaghetti, then take the rest home for several leftover meals!!

Did your guy get the job?? I hope so! It is sooo hard to get work in this economy!

I used to basically "live" at Olive Garden before I got banded. I literally went there every weekend and I have eaten half of the menu options I love it so much. But I have only been there maybe 4 times in the last 7 months because I have no control when I eat there. I will make myself sick!

That's awesome! I love it!!! It's amazing how we generally seem to be processing similar things at the same time - like loving how we eat - I enjoy it more now than ever! I love it!!!
