I love to ride my bike and walk my dog. I'm a 42-year-old mother of two. I am committed to a healthy lifestyle, but I also believe MODERATION is really important. I love sugar and coffee and sunshine!
Hahahaha. At work, this super skinny girl and a skinny guy are always complaining about how cold they are. While I appreciate my fat blanket these days, I think I'll appreciate it more when it's gone!
I know, right?! I'm always freezing and I now always take a jacket with me wherever I go. Now that's it's snowing in Utah, I have my coat, scarf, gloves, and hat. My husband just laughs at me as he's still wearing shorts and t-shirts!
my teeth were chattering (loudly) in the grocery store today. Snow is supposed to come tonight on the mountain (Mt. Sexton) I live on. Bring On Spring!!!! brrrrr
LAYERS!! They are the key. I just said the other day to one of my daughters that i might as well have not lost the weight because I have so many layers of clothes on now that I look a couple of sizes bigger than I really am.
Today for example-underwear, slacks (polyester fiber is warmer)- Socks. Bra, tank top, long sleeved t-shirt, heavy cardigan. if it is colder I add a scarf and fingerless gloves that flip over into mittens if I am super cold. I have a wool coat (that is too big now) that I can also put on when I go out.
ON my bike I ear the following-leggings, bike shorts, tank top, short sleeve t-shirt, long sleeved t-shirt, rain jacket. Over the weekend because my ears hurt too much on my last ride I bought a balaclava (bank robber looking hat thingy to cover my ears), helmet and fingerless gloves.
It if kinda fun to figure out how many layers I can pack on and still look relatively slim and more importantly stay warm.

i hear ya!!
I am worried about this. My husband already suffers because I'm always cold. I asked him how he is going to handle it when I'm skinny!
