I had Frosted Mini Wheats for lunch today and yesterday. Both times I had a few bites and then was stuck and had to ralph in the bathroom.
Because...DUH!...There is MILK in with the cereal and drinking while eating isn't a good idea!
I am embarrassed to confess that it took me two days to figure that out. Yes, I was banded, oh, about a year and a half ago. I'm not a newbie, I swear!

I've never had any problems with cereal... how fickle these bands can be!
Oh, mini wheats is one thing I seriously miss! I've never been able to do cereal with my band.
i haven't tried cereal! maybe i won't...lol
I always let my milk soak in my cereal a bit then drink the milk then eat the cereal. I don't seem to have a problem eating and drinking at the same time. I avoid it though because I know drinking while eating is a bandster no-no.
So good to hear from you!!
I occasionaly like cereal but I have stayed away since the band (for the most part) cause I dont want to drink while eating too. Dont feel bad for trying it again, just to be sure, ive done the same thing.
Yes! I can usually do cereal as long as I chew, chew, chew. "They" always say that drinking with food makes it mushier and it'll slide right through. I find it gets me stuck. Go figure.
ha haa!!
I haven't even tried cereal. I didn't really eat it much before either so I guess I don't miss it!
I can't do cereal either, not in the usual way. But, with mini wheats, I just barely cover them with milk and then let them sit and get swollen and full of milk til they are like oatmeal consistency, then I eat them. It works for me. Otherwise, when I want cereal, I eat it dry and wait 30 minutes and drink a glass of milk. Not quite the same though.
I'm not a big cereal eater anymore either, because I totally dig cereal. At least you know now!!!
I adore cereal (peanut butter crunch!) I made peace with the fact I probably wouldn't be having it for dinner anymore post-band. Sigh!
