Happy Good Friday!

The sun is shining and it is a beautiful day here in Eugene, Oregon.  I have a three day weekend coming up and my fella and I are sneaking off to the beach Sunday night.  I got the car's oil changed and I cleaned it out so we are ready!  (This is a side note, but am I the only one who has a car that gets completely trashed?  I mean like it smells like someone died in there and there's garbage and clothing and toys and CRAP that has to be scooped out with a shovel?  Have you ever seen the show Hoarders?  It's like that!)   Anyway, I am looking forward to the weekend.  Tomorrow we have an Easter Egg Hunt at church followed by a soccer game.  In the evening they'll be an Easter vigil service and of course Sunday morning Easter service.  Then Easter dinner at my mom's and off we go to the beach for the night!

I am having a great deal of anxiety about SPENDING MONEY.  Does that ever happen to you?  I'm trying to save money, but it has been ages since the fella and I went anywhere alone (except the grocery store).  My sister pointed out yesterday that I used to EAT to cope with anxiety and now I don't really have an outlet for it.  I have noticed that my anxiety has really increased lately.

I've been reading blogs this morning and several people are talking about needing a fill.  I had an un-fill a couple of months ago and I now have less than a cc in my 4cc band.  And you know what?  It is just about perfect!  This level of restriction means I can eat whatever I want, but I get full at the appropriate level and must stop.  No foods are off-limits.  I just can't eat too much of anything.  It is PERFECT!  I have noticed that I think about food more than I did before, but so far I am coping with that.  I'm also glad that the acid reflux is under control.  I think I'm a little afraid of getting a fill and having to cope with that again.  I still sometimes can tell that there is stomach acid in my stoma.  I can feel the sloshing and have to burp to feel normal.  It bothers me the most when I try to sleep on my left side.  I am occasionally taking previcid to stop the sloshing.  Has anyone else experienced this?  It is kind of weird!

I still haven't progressed on my roof project.  I got a material price list yesterday.  It will be $3,200 in materials to do the entire roof.  With what the insurance company gave me, I'd only have $1,000 left over to pay my BIL and nephew to do the work.  I asked if it was worth it to them and I haven't heard back yet so I guess I'm just waiting.  Plan B is to hire a roofer to replace the damaged half of the roof.  The money from the insurance company should cover that, but then of course I'd eventually have to replace the other half so this is not the ideal option.  Can you see why I'm stressed about money?  My tenants will be out at the end of the month and the new ones move in (hopefully) the next day.  There are things that could go wrong in that scenario too.

Anyways...that's what is going on.  I still don't know if my sister is moving away.  Happy Easter!

Happy Good Friday and Happy Easter to you and your family!!!

Before my son cleaned out my car it looked just like what you described. I think I grew some people in there it was so dirty. And yes spending money gives me the shakes, especially with bills looming. I want and need stuff (like new clothes because I'm beginning to look like I'm wearing a big croaker sacks), but bills often win out.

Hmmm...makes me anxious reading all that so I can see why you are stressing...try to relax. God has a plan...he always always does - even when we don't. xoxo

My car is like that ALL.THE.TIME. Like 2 days after I clean it out, You'd never know. I hope you have a wonderful Easter and a great time at the beach!

My car is like that more often than I'd like to admit. Between Mr. Husband, Young Sir and always being on the road I can't keep it clean to save my life. Hope you have fun at the beach; have to admit I'm a tiny bit jealous... I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Oregon coast.

I can definately say I understand the money stress for certain. Hubby and I just spent a ton of money with a plumber that we had just the week after my surgery. The money had to be spent (like your roof unfortunately) so we just had to deal with it.

Glad to hear your band is treating you well. I will definately be happy to get my fill on May 6. I definately feel the fullness, but my hunger still comes back within 2 hours or so of eating. It's disheartening. Happy Easter to you and your family.

I didn't realize you only had a small fill still. I still have no fill and am going back for another upper GI on May 3. I do feel restriction if I eat right and strangely enough the last several days I have felt a little tight. I do still feel hunger and that is the worst part. Have a Happy Easter and a safe a wonderful trip to the coast. Today has been beautiful hasn't it?

I get the anxiety thing...it's my LIFE lately. I wish I could tell you how to get rid of it, but sometimes I just have to remind myself "not to go there" until I can move on. If you figure out a way to resolve/deal with it- please SHARE!!!

Good luck with the roof girl. I know it's probably one of the reasons you're anxious lately. It will work out, it always does. ;)

Happy Easter my friend! It's completely understandable that you are dealing with anxiety. You have a lot going on in your life, with a lot of unknowns. I hope you know that I am here for you, and you can call me anytime you need to talk, vent, destress, etc.. it's what I do, remember? I can only imagine how you feel about S moving away. I am so glad that you are at a good spot with restriction. Congratulations on dealing with the food thoughts. Keep up the good work!

Yes, my vehicle is ALWAYS like that!! I think it comes with having kids and man. lol.. although, it also comes from being tremendously busy and tired. lol. There are a couple other reasons, but these are the most positive. ;-)

I hope you have a great Easter, and a fabulously relaxing and safe trip to the coast (WAY JEALOUS! lol). Enjoy!

<3 ya!

I get head hunger sometimes where the thought of food penetrates my noggin. I get major anxiety about spending money! Cause I am need all the pennies I can. I am glad you have your sweet spot on ur band! And congrats on the new tenants! And as for the roof home repairs are evil. And hopefully they will do the whole roof so you wont have to worry
