169 and feelin' fine!

Weighed in this morning and I stayed the same - 169 lbs. (76.7 kg.).  I might have lost a few ounces if I hadn't had popcorn last night after dinner.  Those 100 calorie snack bags of popcorn are my go-to food when I want something to much on.  I made it before I remembered I was supposed to weigh in this morning.  I don't usually eat popcorn the night before a weigh in.  Anyways...maybe I'll get on the scale tomorrow morning just for fun and see if I get a different reading.  I'm actually okay with the scale reading.  It has been bouncing around so much in the last couple of months (down a bit, up a bit, up a bit more, down a bit = no net change), it is kind of nice to see the SAME number week after week.

I've been drinking water like a mad woman.  I drink cold tap water from my super-cool metal water bottle.  Here's a picture:

Now here's a picture of all the stairs I have to climb to go pee 50 times a day at work:

Here's some reasons I copied from some random website why drinking water is so important:

Yay for weigh in day - I can definately understand being glad you stayed the same when the scale has been bouncing for you so much. It's got to be comforting though that you know whatever you are doing now is just continuation from here until forever huh? No stopping a "diet" you were never on. No adjusting to adding "forbidden" foods back in etc (yeah, quote happy today for some reason). Hope you're having a lovely day. Love the picture with the bottle. Very pretty!

Awww cute pic!! I'm loving the smile. Ok I would pee myself if I had to walk all those stairs to go. I have a bad problem with waiting to the last minute to go use the loo.

Thanks for posting the benefits of water. Some of them I didn't know.

You look so happy! I know the feeling with the dreaded scales - they give a bit, then take some back, then give a bit more.... it's tiring!

:) Oh the water thing!! :) I am not very good with the water but keep trying to trick myself into drinking more. You are going to have some wicked strong thighs after all of that stair climbing :)

Thanks for the good thoughts about the move. I think we have a few good ones we found today..fingers crossed they pan out.

Did you get your roof sorted?

You do look so happy! 169 lbs is fabulous!

I'm a total water drinker - at least 100 oz per day. I can't even have anything else in the am before my water, I am so thirsty. LOL

As a diabetic I often drink a lot of water, and keep lots of little bottles (of tap water) in the fridge, cos I'm a gourmet water drinker, it's got to be ice cold.

great post! I honestly have a hard time relating to people who don't drink a lot of water -- I feel like crap if I don't drink *at least* 64+ ounces per day....and I won't tell you what I think about people who think water "tastes bad".

Great water facts! I'm pretty good at getting my 64 oz's a day but I know some sources say we need even more than that. I can't imagine. BTW, Eugene looks gorgeous (last post)!

Hi Amanda!! At least you are firmly under the 170's!! I am sooo close I can taste it! I am now at 170.4. I have seen 168 and 169 briefly, but I knew it wouldn't stay, so I was happy that I was at least close!

As for the 100 cal bags of popcorn, I never thought about it, but since my biggest problem is wanting to snack at night, I think a bag of popcorn would be perfect for me! At least it would satisfy my wanting to chew! I will have to give it a try.
